Dance in Concert Auditions

Barbara Lima Guest Artist audition via Zoom Jan 29th 6:30pm, Commissary Studio B. Open to all WWU students. Dancers must be available for the residency rehearsals: Feb. 10 and 11 from 10:00am-6:00pm, and Feb. 12 and 13 6:00pm-10:00pm. Barbara Lima will be creating a piece for the Dance in Concert performance May 2-4th; Rehearsals will continue 2x per week to prepare for the May concert. 

 

Dance in Concert auditions for faculty pieces Feb 2nd 6:00pm, Commissary Studio B. Open to All WWU students. Rehearsals will be twice per week from February 3rd-May 1st; Performances are May 2-4, 2024.

EDM Club's largest event is coming to Westerns campus! Join us on January 27th in the MPR at the Viking Union. This is EDM concert will have full light/sound production. The event is from 6-11 with student ticket prices at $9, and regular prices at $15.

This evening of original student choreography is an annual event that is part of the Bachelor’s of Fine Art (“BFA”) dance program. Students in the Dance major study the creation of time-based art for the proscenium stage - as choreographers, dancers, and lighting designers. The students also fill roles behind-the-scenes as stage managers, costume and lighting designers and master electricians.

Free seating for WWU students:

Queer Cohort Trip to Elf Sanctuary

Join LGBTQ+ Western and the Sociology department for a queer cohort trip to Elf Sanctuary! The trip is on Jan 26, 2024, from 1 pm to 5 pm. More details will be shared during an informational meeting on Jan 19, 2024, from 2 pm to 4 pm at VU 735. There is a 15-student capacity so a reservation to attend the event is required.
